Patrick Cornell, originally from Glendora, CA joined the Army in 2005 as a Cannon Crewmember. He was posted at Fort Sill, OK and Fort Drum, NY and was deployed to Iraq in 2005-06 and Afghanistan 2008-09 and 2011. His job was to dismount IED attacks and quick ambushes from small arms and rocket propelled grenades. He discusses the challenge of IED’s, camaraderie in the military, and the transition to civilian life. Cornell served as President of the Salem State Veterans Organization 2012-13.
